About

I was 17 when I first left the country on a month long solo trip to Peru. I was in high school studying Spanish and was fortunate to have this opportunity to live in another country with a family, learn about the culture, experience new foods, and practice the language. This trip sparked my love of travel and the Latino culture. So far I have traveled to five Spanish-speaking countries and hopefully will get to more in the future.

Once I discovered Dominican Republic I fell in love and have continued to go back over and over again. I love the warm weather and the beach so this country really is great to experience those things. The music, food, and people are what makes this country unique and special to me. The people are warm and will always try to help you as much as they can, you can find one of the best breakfasts here which is Mangú con tres golpes, and the music of merengue and bachata originated here.
